Misery

United States, 1990 / 103 Mins

Director: Rob Reiner

Starring: Kathy Bates, James Caan

A "heart-stopping psychological thriller" (Joel Siegel) this Academy Award-winning film is "one of the best horror movies" (Time) ever. Adapted from a Stephen King story by Oscar-winning screenwriter William Goldman and directed by Rob Reiner, this chiller starring Kathy Bates (Titanic) and James Caan (The Godfather), is agame played between two cunning minds - one as sharp as a tack and the other as blunt as a sledgehammer. Novelist Paul Sheldon (Caan) doesn't remember the blinding blizzard that sent his car spinning off the road. Nor does he remember being nursed back from unconsciousness. All he remembers iswaking up in the home of Annie Wilkes (Bates)a maniacal fan who is bent on keeping her favorite writer as her personal prisoner for the rest of his "cock-a-doodie" life!

No.6 is taking a brief intermission - re-opening scheduled for May 9th

Loyal regulars will be aware that we have had a few technical issues with some of our screenings recently. We have been working to resolve these, and have been pleased that our most recent showings, including lengthy films like Dune: Part 2 and Apocalypse Now, have worked okay. But we feel it’s unfair on you to be crossing our fingers and hoping, we’d rather get things sorted properly.

The plan is to close for the next two weeks and hopefully return on Thursday 9th May. Keep an eye on the No.6 website and newsletter for confirmation or otherwise, and of course to find out what we will be showing when we do return. Thanks to everyone for your patience and understanding.
