No6 is delighted to present the heartwarming story of Blitz on Thursday 1st Dec before LIVING. The result of an ambitious collaboration between The Young Creatives Portsmouth and The University of Portsmouth it celebrates its official premiere at No6 Cinema.
Exploring the wonders of the 1940’s vast English countryside, two children find themselves in terror when the first bombers of WWII fly over. As the kids take shelter in an abandoned windmill, eaten up with guilt, they quickly realise the daunting consequences of their previous actions.
Edward and Carol, two siblings from rural England, welcome an evacuee in their family. One fateful day, while they explore the wondrous nature and the vast fields, an air raid siren begins to echo, leaving Edward and Carol paralyzed in fear with a difficult decision to make.
The two children, find themselves in an old windmill as the menacing sound of bombs falling echoes in the distance. They discover a long-forgotten chest. What’s inside sends them into a fierce argument.
As their words hit harder than the German bombs, the two children hear something coming from the floor above them. Their discovery drives them to return into the field of uncertainty and danger.
