Back to all posts Come and celebrate 40 years of Quadrophenia with us at No6

Can it be? this year is the 40th anniversary of Quadrophenia’s release into cinema. There have been multiple celebrations around the country and now it’s time for No6 to host our homage to this cult film.
We have been granted special permission for scooters to be admitted to the dockyard, they can be wheeled in and parked along College Rd (alongside The Porter’s Lodge Garden) and admired from 6.00pm onwards.
Dockyard security will bring their sniffer dogs along to check the bikes over, don’t be alarmed the dogs are delightful.

The devil’s work is never done.

Sympathy for the devil for Halloween this year, we have a fiendishly funny documentary on Thursday night called Hail Satan? Smart and lighthearted it looks at a colourful and controversial movement that challenges the hypocrisy of the religious right in America.

The view may be beautiful, but you can’t eat it.

On Friday night we are screening Bait. It is a genuine modern masterpiece which has been drawing the crowds into Bristol Watershed for eight weeks now. That’s pretty unheard of for a small indie release, sounds like it will be up for some prizes. See it with us...

The Year Was 1964, and The Battle Was Just Beginning!

Reeking of a restless team spirit, this quintessentially British but the irrefutably universal film, Quadrophenia will be busy on Saturday night. Book soon to avoid disappointment.

No.6 is taking a brief intermission - re-opening scheduled for May 9th

Loyal regulars will be aware that we have had a few technical issues with some of our screenings recently. We have been working to resolve these, and have been pleased that our most recent showings, including lengthy films like Dune: Part 2 and Apocalypse Now, have worked okay. But we feel it’s unfair on you to be crossing our fingers and hoping, we’d rather get things sorted properly.

The plan is to close for the next two weeks and hopefully return on Thursday 9th May. Keep an eye on the No.6 website and newsletter for confirmation or otherwise, and of course to find out what we will be showing when we do return. Thanks to everyone for your patience and understanding.
