Sorry, sorry I mentioned the ‘Christmas’ word, but not sorry because we’d like to tell you about the new bar voucher we have introduced. People often ask when they buy gift tickets for presents whether we have a voucher for the bar too. Well, now we do. In multiples of £10 you can either buy one to give alongside the tickets or if you prefer you can just buy bar vouchers! They can be exchanged at our lovely bar that sells beers, wines, snacks, soft drinks and the occasional cocktail. They are available from our box office when we are open from 6.15pm before each film, or if you email/give us a call we can arrange to get them sent out to you. Cheers and bottoms up!
Our Thursday film My Bones Are Woven will be a delightful treat for all those textile junkies out there. It is a documentary about Ann Sutton who, in her 80’s, set a radical new course for her creativity challenging the expectations of age and finding herself in the limelight of the world’s leading galleries vying to own her work. We are also delighted that director Jane Mote will be available to answer your questions and introduce the film.
Emily has a 4* review in the Guardian (that may or may not excite you) but this sensitive Bronte biopic is a thrillingly unconventional watch. That’s Friday.
