Missed Out?

Back to all posts Another date for 1917 has been added - Hurrah! March 5th at 7pm

If you missed out on tickets for 1917last Saturday because we were sold out, or you just couldn’t make it that evening, we are happy to announce that the vacant slot on Thursday 5th March has been ably filled by an extra screening of the aforementioned film, 1917. We also have a second screening of A Personal History of David Copperfield on Thursday 19th March at 4.15. This will be the subtitled version of the film for those who find them useful.

This is about all of us.

The spirit of Atticus Finch does not haunt these halls of justice. Thursday night’s film Just Mercy is such a good film that it should have been nominated for some Oscars but the #OscarsSoWhite hashtag still seems to apply.

From rag to riches…and back again.

The Personal History of David Copperfield  on Friday night escapes from all the established ways of presenting Dickens.

The Austrian Blessed Franz Jägerstätter, a conscientious objector, refuses to fight for the Nazis in World War II.

Saturday night’s film A Hidden Life is a rhapsody to the conscientious objector.

A Beautoful Day in the Neighbourhood is showing at No6 next week

No.6 is taking a brief intermission - re-opening scheduled for May 9th

Loyal regulars will be aware that we have had a few technical issues with some of our screenings recently. We have been working to resolve these, and have been pleased that our most recent showings, including lengthy films like Dune: Part 2 and Apocalypse Now, have worked okay. But we feel it’s unfair on you to be crossing our fingers and hoping, we’d rather get things sorted properly.

The plan is to close for the next two weeks and hopefully return on Thursday 9th May. Keep an eye on the No.6 website and newsletter for confirmation or otherwise, and of course to find out what we will be showing when we do return. Thanks to everyone for your patience and understanding.
