No.6 will be opening its doors on Sunday afternoons this month, for two films we know you will want to see… and we wanted you to be the first to know.
The first is Trap on Sunday 15th September. And for those of you that miss out on our weekday matinees you all have a second chance to see It Ends with Us, also at the respectable time of 4pm on Sunday 22nd September.
Trap
Sunday 15th September at 4pm sharp
M Night Shyamalan has become a byword for captivating drama and nerve shredding suspense. Trap is no exception. Josh Hartnett gives a committed performance as a serial killer who is also a devoted family man. Taking his daughter to a pop concert, Hartnett finds a significant police presence out to capture a killer known to be in attendance, who turns out to be guess who? The pop star, Lady Raven, is played by Saleka Night Shyamalan (we’d love to say ‘no relation’, but she’s his daughter) and the film also acts as a showcase for her musical talents, garnering comparison with Prince’s Purple Rain. Now if that doesn’t get you along, nothing will.
It Ends With Us
Sunday 22nd September at 4pm sharp
It Ends With Us stars Blake Lively as the main character, Lily Bloom, in this adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel. Lily overcomes a traumatic childhood to start a new life in Boston, then discovers a disturbing dark side to her relationship with Ryle (played by Justin Baldoni, also the director of the film). The offscreen dramas, on multiple fronts, have catapulted the movie into a compelling must-see event, as takings of $100 million in the eleven days after release clearly testifies.
