Back to all posts Come and Sing Along with Queen, it's sure to be a great night at No6 Cinema

Tickets for our Bohemian Rhapsody Sing-Along on Sat 20th April, are selling faster than anything else on our programme. So if you want to secure your tickets for that screening then can I respectfully advise you to get your skates on and book online very soon so you don’t have to kick yourself for missing the boat.

Inspired by a true friendship, catch this Oscar winner on Thurs 21st March at 7pm

Thursday’s film is the Oscar winning movie Green Book. It has been described as “shameless Oscar bait”. Well it worked!
Also see Mahershala Ali’s Oscar winning performance.
The screening will be preceded by a short film called ‘Passed Me By’ made by students from Portsmouth University’s Film Production Course.

The most powerful weapon is the truth, on Fri 22nd March at No6

Rosamund Pike eschews her usual immaculate appearance in Friday night’s film A Private War to play the war reporter Marie Colvin.
Journalism doesn’t get tougher than this as Marie paid the highest price possible to pay.

The final act of the world’s greatest playwright on Sat 23rd March at 7pm.

Written by Ben Elton, Saturday night’s film All is True pays further homage to Shakespeare, a softer version of ‘the Bard’ than the TV series Upstart Crow, it also stars Judi Dench: she is indefatigable isn’t she?

No.6 is taking a brief intermission - re-opening scheduled for May 9th

Loyal regulars will be aware that we have had a few technical issues with some of our screenings recently. We have been working to resolve these, and have been pleased that our most recent showings, including lengthy films like Dune: Part 2 and Apocalypse Now, have worked okay. But we feel it’s unfair on you to be crossing our fingers and hoping, we’d rather get things sorted properly.

The plan is to close for the next two weeks and hopefully return on Thursday 9th May. Keep an eye on the No.6 website and newsletter for confirmation or otherwise, and of course to find out what we will be showing when we do return. Thanks to everyone for your patience and understanding.
