Just wanted to send an update on our Films for a Fiver Crowdfunder. We have had such a lovely response to our appeal to support our five pounds films throughout January. What has been so very gratifying is not just the money pledged but the encouraging and warm comments that people have left on the website.

“ I love No6. So proud to have this amazing facility in our city. “

“such an important part of Portsmouth”

“great initiative-good luck”

The love that we put into running No6 feels appreciated, thank you.

Very kindly Anglepoise Lamps have sponsored a night of dockyard security £220. Their name will be up on our big screen before each film throughout Jan. If you have a company (or an individual) that would like your name in front of our audience then do sponsor a night on the gate!

There are still loads of rewards to claim on the site; posters, tee shirts, badges or what about inviting 10 friends to a night out at the cinema. £300 includes the cinema tickets, drinks and nibbles before the screening.

We know Christmas is on the horizon and if you meant to pledge but haven’t yet got round to it please do as we are edging towards the finish line. Follow this link to the site.

Coming in 2023...

So many good films are on the website for January, how about Black Panther: Wakanda Forver for a fiver, cheaper than Vue and we have a licensed bar too! Eric Ravilious: Drawn To War is back if you missed it first time around, Matilda for an evening and matinee performance and the experimental Enys Men are all on the list.

A joyous, emotional, heartbreaking celebration of the life and music of Whitney Houston, tracking her journey from obscurity to musical superstardom.
