Here at No6 we are determined to champion young filmmakers in any way we can, with that in mind we have two dates for your diaries;

James Cummings has a writing credit on Boiling Point a film that recently debuted at The London Film Festival. No6 will be screening Boiling Point on Friday 7th January: James made some shorts for No6 whilst he was at UoP so we are more than delighted to welcome him back for a Q&A after the film.

On Saturday 5th Feb No6 will be hosting the Pastel Wasteland Film Festival. This will delight all horror fans out there because the festival will be celebrating all things horror with a shorts film competition and a feature length horror classic .There will be voting, awards and the chance to mingle with other horror aficionados.

Events will be available to book on the website very soon but in the meantime these films are available to book now…..

A documentary about young activism worldwide.

Although seemingly aimed at the younger generation, our Thursday film Dear Future Children is for all. These vignettes of radical activism illustrate our deep attachments to home.

The story of an icon.

The woman who liberated us from American Tan tights, the high priestess of freedom and joy Mary Quant is our Friday film.

Beyond fear, destiny awaits.

Our Saturday night film Dune will definitely ‘worm’ its way into your affections.

No.6 is taking a brief intermission - re-opening scheduled for May 9th

Loyal regulars will be aware that we have had a few technical issues with some of our screenings recently. We have been working to resolve these, and have been pleased that our most recent showings, including lengthy films like Dune: Part 2 and Apocalypse Now, have worked okay. But we feel it’s unfair on you to be crossing our fingers and hoping, we’d rather get things sorted properly.

The plan is to close for the next two weeks and hopefully return on Thursday 9th May. Keep an eye on the No.6 website and newsletter for confirmation or otherwise, and of course to find out what we will be showing when we do return. Thanks to everyone for your patience and understanding.
