Hot off the press and now available to book on our website, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds Live in Copenhagen on Thursday 12th April at 19.00. A couple of things have changed since the initial information was published, the name of the film has been changed to ‘Distant Sky’ and the film will last 135 minutes not 90 minutes as previously published: an extra 40 minutes bang for your buck. Please book early to avoid disappointment, on Friday night we had to turn away a fair number of people from our screening of 3 Billboards as we were sold out. The good news is that we are going to try and squeeze in an extra screening of this film and will send out an email with the date and time.

The impossible comes true, on Thursday 22nd Feb at 4.15pm

This month’s Thursday matinee is The Greatest Showman. The film will start at 4.15pm and there will be the usual free tea/coffee and biscuits in the bar before the screening. Ticket prices are £8.00 - full, £6.50 - concs and £5.00 - 25’s and under for the matinee. This film is a bit of a lively romp and will undoubtedly have you leaving the cinema on a high.

Thursday evening’s film All the Money in the World will probably become as famous for the cast change as for the kidnap it portrays. As Kevin’s footage lies metaphorically on the cutting room floor so it seems does his career, don’t suppose all the money in the world well ever get that back on track.

We are meant for something bigger, on Fri 23rd Feb at 7pm

Ever thought you’d like to drop a few pounds to get into that favourite piece of clothing that has been lurking in the wardrobe? Then Downsizing on Friday evening is the film for you! The environment is the hot topic in this film and how we can all leave a smaller footprint when we depart this beautiful planet.

No.6 is taking a brief intermission - re-opening scheduled for May 9th

Loyal regulars will be aware that we have had a few technical issues with some of our screenings recently. We have been working to resolve these, and have been pleased that our most recent showings, including lengthy films like Dune: Part 2 and Apocalypse Now, have worked okay. But we feel it’s unfair on you to be crossing our fingers and hoping, we’d rather get things sorted properly.

The plan is to close for the next two weeks and hopefully return on Thursday 9th May. Keep an eye on the No.6 website and newsletter for confirmation or otherwise, and of course to find out what we will be showing when we do return. Thanks to everyone for your patience and understanding.
