Back to all posts Christmas is a time for giving, and what better gift to give than the gift of film?

Don’t worry, your present woes are easily solved with some No6 gift vouchers. Available in two flavours, full price and concession, they can be bought from the box office on evenings when we are open. They come in a classy envelope which, when opened and the vouchers redeemed, will reveal a whole new world to the recipient through the medium of film…..there’s no better gift.

An intimate and epic journey into the female experience of war.

Thursday’s film For Sama will be introduced by Dr Yael Friedman, senior lecturer at UoP and expert in world/transnational cinema, Middle Eastern Cinema and Documentary theory and practice. The film is extraordinary too!

The soul of a city, the rhythm of a nation.

‘The colour of business was green’, not green in the sense we might understand now, but driven by the greenback, US slang for the dollar. Friday’s film Hitsville: The Making of Motown shows how smart guy Berry Gordy turned Motown into a massive, glamorous, money making music production line.

Pastel Wasteland brings together some of the best, unsung heroes of science fiction and horror filmmaking.

Saturday afternoon and evening has been taken over by the Pastel Wastelands Film Festival. Doors open at 1.00pm, the programme will start at 2.00pm and will run through to finish at approx 9.30pm. Tickets are £10.00 and  available on the door and online via the website.
