Back to all posts Knives Out is tipped to be a winner in the 2020 awards season, and showing at No6 on Saturday

The Oscar awards are on the horizon, there will be tears of horror and joy as the film industry pats itself on the back or shoots itself in the foot. We have already screened some of the front runners for the Academy Award best picture category; The Irishman, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, The Farewell, Joker, Marriage Story and The two Popes but we still have a few probable contenders to come - Jojo Rabbit on Feb 8th, Bombshell on 20th Feb, Little Women on 1st Feb and Weathering with You on 13th Feb and 1917 on 22nd Feb The nominations shortlist for the 92nd Academy Awards is issued on Jan 22nd so why not pick up an entry form from the box office for our ‘Predict the Winners’ competition and give yourself the chance of winning a couple of free tickets and a snifter at the bar.

A twisted tale of love, revenge and puppetry.

Our Thursday film Judy and Punch may be set in the past but its contemporary use of language and sound makes mob mentality and male aggression horribly relevant. #Metoo 17th Century style - that’s the way to do it.

They took the American dream for a ride.

Le Mans ’66 aka Ford v. Ferrari is way beyond the niche car enthusiast audience…vroom, vroom on Friday night to No6 for some great entertainment.

Hell, any one of them could have done it.

A whole lot of fun awaits on Saturday night, Knives Out is a razor sharp fresh take on the murder mystery genre.
